About Paul Gillham
The Life and Struggles of Paul Gillham
Paul Gillham is an up and coming artist born in northern California. As a boy, Paul always had a fascination with photography. In high school, with camera in hand, he joined his local yearbook class. During these early years, he began to develop a love for landscapes photography.
In college, he experimented with finding himself, in his photography. He focused on capturing the essence of beauty, in an otherwise barren world. During these college years he had much success. It seemed, as though this budding young artist, was on his way to become one of the greats.
Also in college, Paul would marry the love of his life, and start a family. Hard times fell on our young artist, and his family. Slowly sinking into an artist depression, he became the very embodiment of the struggling artist. During these years, he and his family would struggle in the ghettos of California's rural suburbs. California's cost of living was just much too high, and photography could not support this young family. Soon the young artist had to go out and find a real job. Photography became nothing more than a hobby and slowly faded into obscurity as the work piled on and on.
Years later, spurred on by his beloved wife and adoring family, he would pick up a camera once again. It started with simply buying a Camera on amazon. Then once he was behind the lense the magic was back. The wonder boy had returned. After having a bit of success, he then began to catch up on the technological gap, by watching photoshop tutorials on Youtube.
Now he emerges, like a phoenix from the flamed ashes of his past. Wiser and sharper and even more determined to succeed. With camera in hand, he daringly explores the wild and untamed natures of California's coastlines. Many times armed with only his camera, granola bar and a bottle of water, he alone searches for the ultimate picture. Yet, like a mighty hunter, he endures many hardships to capture his image.
It is because of this fact that his photos are quickly becoming an instant success. They are a testament to all the pain, torment and struggles, that this artist has endured. It would not surprise me, that one day we will see the name of Paul Gillham, among the great artists of his day.
